Overview

This policy explains what information Happi Buffalo (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit our site or contact us, and how we use it. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to reply to you and make your piece.

Information we collect

• Details you send us. When you request a piece or contact us, we receive your name, email address, and anything you include in your message.
• Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send occasional updates.
• Basic usage data. Like most websites, our host may log standard technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site running and secure.

Auction bidders

• Sign-in email. To bid, you sign in with your email and a one-time code. We use it to run the auction and to send you bid updates and results.
• Payment card. Your card is saved and charged by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never touches our site; we only see the card brand and last four digits.
• Shipping address. We collect a US shipping address before your first bid so a winning piece can ship right away. Only you and Happi Buffalo can see it.
• Bids and color looks. Your bids are shown publicly only as an anonymous bidder number. Your max bid is private. Color looks you save are private unless you share their link.
• Views.To count unique visitors to an auction, we use a one-way scrambled code made from your connection and browser. We don’t store your IP address.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and arrange a made-to-order piece.
• To send updates you have asked for (you can opt out anytime).
• To operate, protect, and improve the site.

How it is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the studio, such as our form and email providers and our website host, and only as needed to serve you. Those providers handle your data under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing happibuffalo@gmail.com.

Data retention and security

We keep inquiry and order information only as long as needed to serve you and meet our records obligations, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above.
